New Experience at Disney World Announced: After Hours Event At Magic Kingdom

It’s been a busy few days for Disney and they keep that trend going with the announcement of another new experience at Walt Disney World – Disney After Hours!  The details were released today on Disney’s event page, and this experience will be available on Thursday evenings starting on April 14th and ending May 19th, as well as Sunday May 5th (Mother’s Day, this would make a good gift!).

A limited number of tickets are being released and the cost is $149 per ticket.disney-after-hours-03
Park goers will get an additional 3 hours in the park after the posted closing time, regardless of whether you are staying on property or not.  This doesn’t appear to be replacing the current Disney’s Extra Magic Hours as this event is only happening on nights that no parks have schedule EMH.

The cost of $149 per ticket feels to be a bit pricey when you consider WDWAfterHoursa park ticket for Magic Kingdom is $102 for the entire day.  What makes the price slightly more acceptable is that there will be ice cream novelties and select drinks available that are included in the $149.  There will be select attractions and meet & greets going on during Disney After Hours, including Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and many more.  While they did not say what princesses would be available, it was confirmed that Princess Fairytale Hall will be open for greetings.
