Lego Announces 2 New Star Wars Helmets: Pre-Order NOW!
Lego fans old and young always hold out hope that one day their favorite character or favorite story will be honored with a Lego set. Or when a new part of a set is announced. Today was that day. Lego announced, in prelude to Nuremberg Toy Show, two new Star Wars Helmet Series kits: Commander Cody and Captain Rex.
LEGO® Star Wars fans will soon be able to join the Grand Army of the Republic by building the instantly recognizable helmet models of Captain Rex and Clone Commander Cody, two iconic heroes from the Clone Wars as they arrive in two new sets for fans, available from March 1st.
The 854-piece set based on Captain Rex’s helmet captures the iconic blue trim and range-finder of the 501st battalion’s clone captain, one of the most famous characters in the animated series The Clone Wars and second-in-command to Jedi General Anakin Skywalker.
“Clone Commander Cody’s helmet is recreated in a new 766-piece set, bringing to life the striking orange detailing of the helmet that appeared prominently in many episodes of The Clone Wars, with Clone Commander Cody standing alongside Obi-Wan Kenobi as another commanding officer of the 212th clone battalion.”
As of right now the Lego Star Wars Helmet collection is 8 and the new editions brings it up to 10. Currently available, Luke Skywalker Red 5, The Mandalorian, the Dark Trooper, Darth Vader, Boba Fett and the Scout Trooper. Awesome but retired, the Tie Fighter Pilot and the Stormtrooper. Two I would love to get.
With the addition of Cody and Rex they’ve connected the Clone Wars to this collection. Just as a nice little easter egg. Note the number of pieces in Cody’s set…766. Hmm. Does that have something to do with the infamous Order 66? I’m sure. Pre-order yours today before they disappear.
