Epcot forever, nighttime fireworks show at Walt Disney World’s Epcot premiered on October 1, 2019 as the “interim” replacement for IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth, bridging the gap between Illuminations and its longer-term replacement, HarmonioUS – which is set to premiere as part of the Walt Disney World 50th anniversary celebration on October 1, 2021. Epcot Forever celebrates the musical history of the park’s 37 years, featuring music, lighting, lasers, and special effects kites set to an all-new arrangement of original Epcot attraction music. Music includes Journey into Imagination, Spaceship Earth, Soarin, the Tapestry of Nations, Universe of Energy, Listen to the Land, and Veggie Veggie Fruit Fruit to name a few.  The show is designed to celebrate the Past, Present, and Future of Epcot The show was dark from March 15, 2020, until July 1, 2021 due to the COVID returning with the backdrop, including the HarmiounioUS Barges and no Kits. According to Disney – Witness the wonder as the story of Epcot and its next incredible chapter come to life in the spectacular nighttime performance “Epcot Forever”. Behold the “spark of imagination” that started it all. Watch it grow, evolve and transform into a nighttime extravaganza that stirs the senses and captures all you love about Epcot—and all that’s to come—with dazzling fireworks, stunning laser effects set to tunes that have become theme park favorites.

Disneyland Forever, premiered at Disneyland on May 21, 2015, as part of the 60th-anniversary celebration.  Disneyland Forever was the first Disney park fireworks show to feature projection mapping.   The technology was use on Sleeping Beauty’s Castle, It’s a small world, and Main Street USA.   It featured a new theme song “Live the Magic” and an exit song written by Richard Sherman that reflects on Walt’s Original vision of Fireworks, “A Kiss Goodnight” Here is my footage of the show from Mainstreet and It’s a Small World.According to Disney…

Star Wars Fireworks at Walt Disney World Hollywood Studios Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular

Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular was a nighttime show at Walt Disney World’s Hollywood Studios that debuted in 2016.  Based on the Star Wars franchise, the spectacular featured fireworks, projection mapping, fire, lasers, fog effects, searchlights, and more.  The Hollywood Studios Chinese theater is the background for the projections along with some surrounding buildings.  As the show evolved and the Star Wars franchise grew, the show was quietly updated with scenes from Rogue One, the Last Jedi, Solo, and The Rise of Skywalker.
Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular was a nighttime show at Walt Disney World’s Hollywood Studios that debuted in 2016. Based on the Star Wars franchise, the spectacular featured fireworks, projection mapping, fire, lasers, fog effects, searchlights, and more.
The show begins with a brief narrated prologue of the 1977 premiere of Star Wars at Grauman’s Chinese Theater in Hollywood, California. The main show is divided into segments dedicated to battles, heroes, creatures, romance, and villains.
The dramatic opening shot from A New Hope begins the sequence showing various battle scenes from Takodana, Hoth, Jakku, the Death Star, and Starkiller Base.
The next segment, dedicated to the series’ heroes, features Rey, Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, and the Millennium Falcon escape scenes.  Three brief segments follow; a cantina segment dedicated to the creatures and aliens, a segment devoted to the Force with Yoda and Obi-Wan Kenobi, and a romance segment with Han Solo, Leia Organa, Anakin Skywalker, and Padmé Amidala.
A darker sequence follows, recreating the fiery lightsaber battle between Anakin and Kenobi on Mustafar. The scene segues into a segment dedicated to the series’s villains, including Darth Vader, Darth Maul, Palpatine, Supreme Leader Snoke, and Kylo Ren. The trench run attacks on the Death Star and Starkiller Base, Paying off as the finale sequence. The show concludes with a montage of all nine original Star Wars film poster art collaged across the Chinese Theater.
