Disney announces donation to Notre-Dame Cathedral
On Monday, the world watched as the famed, 856-year-old Notre-Dame Cathedral was nearly destroyed in a fire. The fire destroyed much of the roof and spire. The cathedral was completed in 1345, in Paris, France.
Disney CEO Bob Iger has pledged $5M to the reconstruction of this international landmark. He tweeted this morning, “@notre-dameparis is a beacon of faith, hope & beauty, inspiring awe and reverence. The Walt Disney Company stands with our friends & neighbors in Paris, with heartfelt support and a $5 million donation for the restoration of this masterpiece.”
As if we didn’t love Disney already; right! I honestly cannot put into words the love and respect I have for this wonderful company. I know that many are stepping up, but they always seem to be at the forefront leading that charge. Way to go Disney!
