No Dates, But Park Opening Guidelines and Mandates Discussed at Orange County Task Force Meeting
Hello Disney Nerds! It looks like we are beginning to see some more details as the Orlando area begins to share their plans on re-opening. The Orange County Economic Recovery Task Force Virtual Meeting was held this morning and a lot of plans were revealed.
Keep in mind this is as of 4/28/2020. But there were a lot of re-opening details that were discussed for the various industries in the area. These are very early plans, but they give you an idea of what their thinking is. Small and large theme parks, hotels, and restaurants were mainly discussed. We will have detailed notes very soon but wanted to share this video ASAP. A couple of points did stick out.
- The Mayor of Orange County, Jerry Demings said that an opening day in June was more realistic than one in May.
- Most of the Small/Large Park criteria seem to be the same.
- Wipe down all surfaces.
- All Employees will wear masks.
- Touchless Sanitizer everywhere.
- Temperature checks for employees with a 100.4 go home level
- Recommending that senior employees stay home
- Phase 1 and 2
- Phase one is 50% capacity and involves a lot of Hotel guidelines such as mobile check-in, limited housekeeping, and Room Service delivery to the door only. Clean everywhere and the same items as park employees above.
- Phase 2 is less specific. The level goes up to 75%.
Check out the entire meeting below and Look Out for the full details as soon as the task Force posts its Meeting Minutes.
