“Thor: Love and Thunder” Official Trailer Released
Our favorite hammer-wielding God has a new movie and we now have an official trailer and poster!
Take a look at the trailer for Marvel Studios’ “Thor: Love and Thunder”
This fourth “Thor” film is directed by Taika Waititi and will follow after “Avengers: Endgame.” Thor ended “Avengers: Endgame” leaving Earth with the Guardians of the Galaxy after his kingdom Asgard collapsed. Thor (played by Chris Hemsworth) joins the Guardians of the Galaxy crew. Peter Quil (Chris Prett), Mantis (Pom Klementieff), Drax (Dave Bautista), Nebula (Karen Gillan), Rocket Raccoon (Bradley Cooper) and Groot (Vin Diesel) all return to help Thor who eventually finds that he must leave to find his own path.
Also returning for “Thor: Love and Thunder” are Tessa Thompson (Asgardian King Valkyrie), Sean Gunn (Kraglin), Jeff Goldblum (The Grandmaster), Jaimie Alexander (Lady Sif), and director Taika Waititi playing rock gladiator Korg. Christian Bale is now shown in the trailer but he will play Gorr the God Butcher.
In the trailer we see Russel Crowe who is playing Zeus and at the end we see the moment we’ve all been waiting for, Natalie Portman returning as Jane Foster who will be a female Thor.
Confirmed but not showing in the trailer Luke Hemsworth, Matt Damon, Sam Neill, and Melissa McCarthy, who will play Thor, Loki, Odin, and Hela in an in-movie play retelling the story of Asgard.
Disney’s synopsis of the film is:
The film finds Thor on a journey unlike anything he’s ever faced—a quest for inner peace. But his retirement is interrupted by a galactic killer known as Gorr the God Butcher, who seeks the extinction of the gods. To combat the threat, Thor enlists the help of King Valkyrie, Korg and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster, who—to Thor’s surprise—inexplicably wields his magical hammer, Mjolnir, as the Mighty Thor. Together, they embark upon a harrowing cosmic adventure to uncover the mystery of the God Butcher’s vengeance and stop him before it’s too late.
“Thor: Love and Thunder” will premier in theaters July 8th and are anxiously counting the days!
