“Star Wars: Ahsoka” Teaser Trailer & Poster Released Today!
Warrior. Outcast. Rebel. Jedi.
If I was at Star Wars Celebration in London this week, I think this would be the ONE thing I would be most excited for. The release of the teaser trailer and poster for “Star Wars: Ahsoka.”
Disney confirmed at Star Wars Celebration that the show will premiere on Disney+ in August. The upcoming Disney+ series stars Rosario Dawson as Ahsoka, an exiled Jedi who was once Anakin’s apprentice before he turned to the dark side and became Darth Vader.
They also dropped the teaser trailer on stage with showrunner Dave Filoni, Rosario Dawson (Ahsoka) and Natasha Liu Bordizzo, who plays Sabin Wren, a Mandalorian warrior, revolutionary and graffiti artist who first appeared in “Star Wars Rebels.” In addition to the trailer released, they also revealed Mary Elizabeth Winstead will be playing Hera Syndulla from Rebels.
Take a look at the trailer:
Personally, Ahsoka is one of my favorite Star Wars characters. She was introduced in the 2008 animated film “Star Wars: The Clone Wars,” which served as a pilot to the television series of the same name. “The Clone Wars” TV series chronicled her time learning from Anakin. Then she returned in the animated series “Star Wars Rebels,” voiced once again by Ashley Eckstein. In 2020, Dawson debuted the Jedi’s live-action portrayal in “The Mandalorian.” I can’t wait to see where this character’s journey goes during this latest chapter!
