Local Bakery Gideon’s Bakehouse to Open Location at Disney Springs
Yesterday we announced that The Polite Pig would no longer offer the super popular Chocolate Chip Cookie. Today we’re learning more!
Disney Parks Blog just announced that local Orlando bakery, Gideon’s Bakehouse, will open their second bakery at Disney Springs.
What does this have to do with The Polite Pig? Well, they are the bakery geniuses behind that very same Chocolate Chip Cookie! So now it all makes sense!
Owner and creator of Gideon’s Bakehouse had this to say to Disney Parks Blog about the new location, “This opportunity is truly a dream come true and will allow us to flex all of our creative muscle in both desserts and décor. We’re passionate, inspired, and ready.”
Gideon’s Bakehouse is known as a small batch bakery where you can get half-pound cookies and cakes. Yes, Disney Nerds, those chocolate chip cookies will no be the only things on the menu when their second location opens. Some of Gideon’s other popular flavors are Peanut Butter Crisp, Cookies and Cream, and Pistachio Toffee Dark Chocolate.
Gideon’s Disney Springs location will have an expanded menu of cookies and cakes as well as a line of unique iced coffees. I mean, we’re going to have to wash those delicious treats down with something! There will be new and limited edition items to check out daily and we can’t wait!
One item that is very popular at Gideon’s current East End Market location in Orlando is the Coffee Cake Cookie. They only offer this one month a year but it will be available every day at Disney Springs!
They are also announcing a Hot Cookie Hour each evening and we don’t know about you but there’s nothing as good a warm cookie treat to top off a great meal at Disney Springs!
“We’re also excited to bring more cake flavors to our new location, offering never-before-seen creations like our special line of Double Frosted Cakes.” Steve Lewis said to Disney Parks Blog. “There are more than a few secrets we have up our sleeves that you’ll just have to wait to see. It’s not Gideon’s if it isn’t a little dark and mysterious.” We aim to even make the wait in line entertaining by immersing everyone in a transformative environment that will share our story as guests progress toward the counter.”
Gideon’s Bakehouse is expected to open sometime this year at Disney Springs! Their location will be located in The Landing across from Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar. Can’t wait for the opening?
