New MagicBands Coming In March!
Greetings Disney Nerds!!
Guess what everyone?!? New MagicBands are being released! Personally, I love MagicBands. It’s just another way to express your Disney love and they’re useful too. Disney has released a couple different styles over the last couple of months so I thought I’d share the latest MagicBand announcements!
The latest announcement for the MagicBands being released in March features one of our favorite Disney walls, the Purple Wall! This is a limited edition band which says “Meet Me at the Purple Wall” and is in the exact shade of the wall! It will be in a 2-week flash sale online beginning March 5th so Purple Wall fans better mark their calendars!
Disney is also celebrating the 20th anniversary of Disney’s Animal Kingdom by offering a limited edition MagicBand featuring our favorite animal friends you can see while in the park! It’s a limited edition size of 2,000 and will only be available at Animal Kingdom starting March 21st. I think this is going to be a great collectible item!
Also in March, there will be new Star Wars Magic Bands. these new bands feature our favorite symbols of the Rebel Alliance, the Galactic Empire, and more! It’s a grey band and it is going to be limited release which will debut online on March 12th. They will be available in the parks starting March 16th.
Now for all of the Flower and Garden fans, you’ll be happy to know that there are three MagicBands for the festival! There’s a Mickey Mouse themed one with a limited edition release size of 2,000 and packaged in an orange-scented box. Later in the festival, Minnie Mouse will have a MagicBand with a limited edition size of 1,000 and packaged in a flower-scented box! I love that the boxes will be scented! How fun is that?!? For the passholders, there is an exclusive MagicBand with a limited edition size of 2,000 and features Figment in the garden!
In order to catch you up, here’s a list of the new MagicBands that have been released so far this year!
~ A solid color Black band and a solid color band in Millennial Pink (millennial pink is a softer pink than what was already available) were released in December and January and both retail at $12.99.
~Also in January, they released a brown band featuring the Seven Dwarfs from “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.” All seven dwarfs are represented on this fun band and retail at $22.99. It’s such a fun style!
~Now for the great minimalist style, there’s the I Am Mickey Band which also released in January. It’s a black band with red detail and a yellow center icon. Personally, I think it has a great Disneybounding vibe to it and it’s available for $22.99!
~For the Expedition Everest Fans, there’s now a MagicBand for you! It’s a red band with icons that represent this great ride! It’s a limited release and is retailing for $27.99.
~If you’re dreaming of a Dalmatian plantation or just love dogs, there’s a 101 Dalmatians band that released in January. It’s a white band featuring Pongo and Perdita and a couple of paw prints! It retails for $22.99.
~For Valentine’s Day, Disney took the Magic Bands to a whole new world by featuring Aladdin and Princess Jasmine on a Magic Carpet ride. It’s a teal MagicBand and was only available in a limited edition size of 2,400 and retailed at $32.99.
~Now if you feel like traveling to the second star to the right and straight on to morning then you will love the Peter Pan MagicBand released to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the movie’s release! It’s a navy blue band and features Peter Pan, the London night sky, and little pixie dust! This band retails for $22.99.
~During the 10th Annual Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend a couple of weeks ago, guests had a chance to purchase a limited edition Dooney & Burke MagicBand featuring Cinderella, Snow White, Merida, and Rapunzel. It was only available during the race expo with an edition size of 500 and retailed for $48. It was a great accessory for anyone that also purchased a Dooney & Burke purse at the expo with the same print!
~Another great Dooney & Burke Magic Band was released in February too! It’s a great cream colored band that coordinated with their Passport print purses. It was icons from the parks and I love that it comes in suitcase themed packaging! This band retails for $48.
~Another great limited edition band features the latest Marvel superhero, Black Panther. It has a limited edition size of 2,500 and it’s a black band featuring the Black Panther himself! It retails for $32.99 and is a must-have for any fan of this awesome film!
~There’s also a great orange band featuring Simba and his friends!
~Ariel also has a new band featuring her among to bubbles of the sea.
~Any fan of “The Nightmare Before Christmas,” will love the two new bands released! A red band featuring Jack and Sally and a glow in the dark one featuring Oogie Boogie!
