Tokyo Dining Review

I was recently in Walt Disney World celebrating my birthday and decided to get reservations to try out Tokyo Dining in the Japan Pavilion in EPCOT. Great food and great atmosphere.

If you are a fan of Japanese food, I highly recommend Tokyo Dining. While I did not try out the hibachi side, we sat next to the window with an amazing view of The World Showcase. With the beautiful view and great service, it made for a great way to wind down the day before heading out to watch Illuminations.

I am a huge fan of sushi, so I tried the Sunshine Salmon Roll. While I do wish that there were more options for sushi, I was pleased with the roll I got. It was so fresh and perfectly balanced flavor wise. Nothing in the roll overwhelmed other ingredients. The one roll for me was plenty, I did, however, order a side of white rice because my eyes were bigger than my stomach at the time. The rolls served are on the bigger side than sushi you get locally.

My fiancé got the Teriyaki Butter Grilled Chicken and he devoured it before I could get a picture! He described it as fresh and clean. No heavy feeling which is a plus on a 90-degree day in Florida. The chicken was cooked to a tender perfection, and there was a generous amount of teriyaki sauce.

Let’s talk desserts!

To finish up the meal I got a free birthday dessert which was the Ginger Mousse Cake. This cake was light and airy. I did taste more chocolate than ginger. I would recommend this dessert choice, but I am also a fan of green tea ice cream which is an option.

In conclusion, you get a fantastic taste of Japan at Tokyo Dining. Between the excellent service by the waitress and the flavorful meal, you cannot go wrong.
