NEW Details Announced for Epcot’s Food and Wine Festival!
Disney Parks Blog released for more details about this year’s International Food and Wine Festival at Epcot!
If you haven’t heard yet, this year’s Festival begins August 29th and ends November 23rd. This festival is always a must do for any foodie and now there are more reasons to go!
Appleseed Orchard Marketplace
In the Canada pavilion, we will get to experience the new Appleseed Orchard Marketplace. This new venue will offer a unique variety of craft brews, ciders, wines, and lite bites. The new marketplace will be located next to Le Cellier Steakhouse. Some of the drink selections at the marketplace will be apple-inspired beers, ciders, and cocktails like the Apple Blossom Sky. You can also try the non-alcoholic Frozen Apple Pie and taste their Charcuterie and Cheese plate.
The film “O Canda!” will be getting a refresh and a projection system upgrade during the time of the festival. Because of that, the theater is going to become this new festival destination to allow guests to get out of the heat.
The Alps Marketplace
Another new marketplace will be The Alps Marketplace. This venue will offer Warm Raclette Swiss Cheese with Baby Potatoes, Cornichons and Baguette, or Venison Stew with Crushed Potatoes. They will also offer a refreshing Frozen Rosé!
Cheese lovers will also rejoice over at Emile’s Fromage Montage!
You will be able to sample a variety of cheeses as they are served in inventive ways. If you purchase any five cheese dishes from the official Global Marketplaces. These will be listed in the Festival Passport. Don’t forget to make sure to collect your stamp! Once you’ve collected five stamps, bring your Festival Passport to Shimmering Sips for a complimentary specialty cheesecake! This cheesecake is unique to the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival.
Something for the football fans!
You can book one of the new Tailgate Tasting events hosted by ESPN’s Monday Night Football. These events will be available select Sundays starting September 8- November 17. The event will be about 45 minutes and will pair gridiron grub with a beverage tasting. The food and beverage will be inspired by the cities of pro teams playing on each Monday night football game! You’ll even learn how to make the dish so you can be a hit at your tailgate parties back home!
Disney Parks Blog also mentioned previously the Disney du Jour Dance Party at the Festival. They are expanding the Party! Sundays through Thursdays, a DJ will lead the fun but Fridays and Saturdays there will be featured artists from Radio Disney and Radio Disney Country. Some of the headliners include Meg Donnelly (Disney Channel’s Zombies) Aug. 30-31, Jenna Raine (“A Letter to Me”) Sept. 13-14, Sky Katz (Disney Channel’s Raven’s Home) Oct. 11-12, and JAGMAC (“Like a Band”) Oct. 18-19. This is a party worth checking out and you never know if some of your favorite Disney characters might show up!
We’ve also learned about some more acts for the Eat to the Beat Concert Series!
