Disneyland Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge

Greetings from Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge Black Spire Outpost!! We recently returned from a trip to Batuu and are eager to share with you all we learned from this foreign land.

The experience started back on reservation day, May 2nd. After an hour and 40 minutes our window to the next world opened and we were able to select our date and 4 hour window. We selected June 15th from 5pm to 9pm. Our hope was to catch Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge during both sun up and sun down hours.

On June 15th we arrived to Launch Bay 2 hours prior to check in and get our bands for our 4 hours trip to Batuu. The process itself was simple and the cast members were extremely helpful. They directed us over to Critter Country to line up for our entrance into the new land and at precisely 5pm we began our pilgrimage to Black Spire Outpost.

Take a look at these pictures:

Some of the details were fascinating:

We waited inline for a chance at the virtual queue for Olga’s Cantina but never got the return text in the 4 hours we were there. Unfortunately, we were only able to get pictures from outside.

We waited a bit for the Smuggler’s Run line to die down a bit before entering the queue. The details in here were amazing!

And if the queue wasn’t enough the attraction itself was amazing!

Then day turned to night and as with most lands at Disney Parks, it became a completely different experience.

New Detail Emerging from Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge Disneyland

Heading to Disneyland after June 24th? Remember that Disney has announced they will continue the reservation system in the form of “Boarding Groups.” Once you have entered he park you can reserve a “Boarding Pass” for Galaxy’s Edge. Once your Boarding number has been called, you have 2 hours to report to the entrance.

Did you love the pictures?? Take a listen to this weeks podcast where I talk about Galaxy’s Edge and more!

Thank you for reading and have a magical day!!
