Disney Parks Honor Medical Workers Across The Globe #DisneyMagicMoments

Today, April 7th, World Health Day.

This is a day that traditionally honors nurses, doctors and healthcare teams who work tirelessly to keep us all healthy. On this day, especially this year, it is more important than ever to thank and support these men and women who take care of our health all year. We are faced with a global pandemic that has closed down life as we know which includes the Disney Parks we all love. Healthcare professionals around the world are on the front line to defend us from this pandemic; to treat those affected and find ways to stop the spread, in addition to their regular duties.

The Disney Parks, Disney Cruise Line, and Disney Stores around the world uniting with to thank and show their appreciation to the brave healthcare providers who are helping so many. Disney has shared the heartwarming and touching photos of thanks from around the world to us so we can share it with you!

Disney Store’s largest stores in Times Square displays a huge thank you on their billboard. Hong Kong Disneyland’s Disney Ambassador, Melody, shares a sign of appreciation on behalf of cast members. Aulani expresses their “mahalo” in tropical flowers as their expression of gratitude.

 

Disney Cruise Line says “thank you” on Castaway Cay by using flip flops. Walt Disney Imagineering expresses their “thank you” as well. A beautiful floral arrangement was displayed in front of Sleeping Beauty’s Castle at Disneyland Paris to say “Merci.”

 

Disneyland’s custodial cast members expressed their heartfelt gratitude at the “Storytellers” statue and at Paradise Gardens Park in Disney California Adventure.

 

Shanghai Disney lights up the Enchanted Storybook Castle with “thank you” in numerous languages for medical professionals all over the world.

Cinderella Castle at Walt Disney World went blue, to symbolize a beacon of hope and gratitude. Some security guards at the Magic Kingdom even created their own way of saying thank you on behalf of their fellow cast members.

 

Dr. Mark Penning, the Vice President of Disney’s Animals, Science, and Enviroment Team at Animal Kingdom also shared his “thank you” from his entire team of animal caregivers, scientists and environmental specialists.
