Disney Nerds’ Must-have drinks in Walt Disney World

Epcot’s World Showcase features so many different beverages from other parts of the world. Where else can you have a stout in Germany then walk over to Japan for the sake in the matter of seconds? “Drinking around the world” is a must-do for me, each time I vacation at Walt Disney World. But there are other places around Walt Disney World to grab a great cocktail (including Epcot). Here are a few of my favorites!

First, let’s talk Epcot.

Now, the following drinks are available year-round. I do have a few festival favorites but let’s talk about drinks you can get no matter the time of year.

Kabuki Cafe

The Tokyo Sunset in the Japan pavilion can be found in Kabuki Cafe. This is a perfect way to refresh yourself. This is a tropical rum-based drink that is a must-have for me every trip. The color presentation is also Instagram-worthy.  If you like fruity drinks I highly recommend giving this one a try. The liquor flavor is not overwhelming if you are not a fan of strong drinks.

Rose & Crown

Now I know, this is a hit or miss with most. I am a hard cider fan and adding Guinness? Sign me up! This gorgeous drink is available at the Rose and Crown Pub in the Canada pavilion. The bold flavor pairs well with the cider. Not to forget the awesome atmosphere. If you have not tried the Rose and Crown Pub, do it. You will thank me later. Another suggestion at Rose and Crown is one of Jimmy’s favorites, Carl’s Combo. If you didn’t already know from Jimmy talking about his favorite drink, Carl’s Combo which is Bass and Stella together! If you’re not a beer drinker then try one of Morgan’s favorites, a Welsh Dragon! It’s Peach Schnapps, Melon Liqueur, Creme de Menthe, Orange Juice, and Pineapple Juice!

Joy of Tea Stand

Another favorite among my fellow Disney Nerds is the CantoLoopy in China. This can be found at the Joy of Tea stand with some other great drinks. I recommend grabbing an egg roll too! The CantoLoopy is cantaloupe juice and vodka. Delicious drink but might be too sweet for some people

Beer

There’s so many selections of beer that we wouldn’t even begin to say which beer is the best in Epcot. From Jimmy’s favorite, Carl’s Combo, at the Rose and Crown to the Schöfferhofer Pink Grapefruit Hefeweizen (the grapefruit beer) in Germany. There are so many to choose from that there’s always a good option for any beer lover!

Over at Hollywood Studios

Baseline Tap House

One of the favorites for The Disney Nerds is heading over to Baseline Tap House for a beer or wine! The selection is always changing and the outdoor seating makes it a great place to stop and relax with a drink! Don’t forget to grab a pretzel or a charcuterie board with your drink the next time you’re there!

Now let’s head over to Disney Springs.

Amorette’s Patisserie

Need I say more? If you know you know. After shopping for awhile in Disney Springs, the Florida heat gets to me. I like stopping by Amorette’s Patisserie for a seasonal wine slushie. Does not hurt to add a side of one of their many tasty desserts.

Art Smith’s Homecomin’

Everyone loves the fried chicken at Art Smith’s Homecomin’ but not as many people talk about the moonshine cocktails. Yes, Moonshine! Try one of their 5 Moonshine drinks like Moonshine Margarita or Rumshine Punch. Also, if you get a 22oz souvenir cup like this one it’s REFILLABLE. For free, you can refill it with soda or tea. Or you can pay $13 for another Moonshine drink! Morgan brings her cup back every trip!

Disney Resorts have some great selections too!

Trader Sam’s

Trader Sam’s offers some of the coolest cocktails on Disney property in my opinion. You can find this at the Polynesian Village Resort.  I wish I was able to try them all. That is going to be a bucket list item for sure! But I liked the Tiki Tiki Tiki Tiki Tiki Rum which is Pyrat XO Reserve Rum, Cream of Coconut, Pineapple Juice, Orange Juice, and dusted with Cinnamon and Nutmeg! Enjoy any of these drinks at the outdoor bar too and watch the sunset across the water near Cinderella’s Castle. Morgan loves the atmosphere inside and always gets a Krakatoa Punch which is Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum, Pyrat XO Reserve Rum, Orgeat, Sam’s Gorilla Grog, and Hibiscus Grenadine. Regardless of if you are inside Trader Sam’s or at the outside bar, the drinks are worth it!

Petals Pool Bar

If you ever find yourself over at Pop Century then head over to the pool bar, Petals. They have some fun names for their cocktails. Be sure to try the Lava Lamp which is lemon rum, blue Curacao, sweet and sour, and Sprite with grenadine. It’s delicious!

Scat Cat’s Club

Over at Port Orleans- French Quarter is Scat Cat’s Club. This bar/lounge was redone a couple of years ago and it’s a great place to grab a drink and sometimes hear some live music. The drink selection is great! Be sure to try the Southern Hurricane which is Plantation Original Dark Rum, Bayou Silver Rum, Tropical Juices, and Southern Comfort. Also, don’t forget to try some beignets while you’re there!

AbracadaBar

Hanging out at Disney’s Boardwalk is always fun, there are great places to eat and drink there. If you haven’t tried AbracadaBar yet then you should. Even though it’s a smaller bar, if you have a chance to sit inside, you should. The decor is everything a magician’s bar should be. Just like other bars on property, the theming of the bar extends to the drink names. Try the Magic Mirror the next time you’re there. It’s composed of Bacardi Rum, Soda Water, Mango Syrup, Sprite, and Lime Juice!
