New Original Series from National Geographic coming to Disney+

Disney+ just announced a new original series coming to the streaming service on Earth Day!

If you are a fan of Disney Nature and National Geographic then you are going to love this announcement!

Disney+ will premiere “Secrets of The Whales” on April 22nd. We will get a glimpse at the life of whales and from the new trailer just released, we’ll learn that in some ways they’re just like us!

The series is from National Geographic and has some famous names attached to it. James Cameron (yes, the same one who is responsible for “Pandora”) is the executive producer. Then we have none other than Sigourney Weaver narrating the series. I don’t know about you but I’m having flashbacks of her voiceovers in “Finding Dorry” when I heard this news!

So without further ado, let’s take a look at the trailer:

This series will be a great addition to Disney+ and the National Geographic section of the streaming service!

If you’re not familiar with the National Geographic side of Disney+ then might I make some suggestions.
  • Atlantis Rising: Watch as James Cameron and others go searching for the lost city of Atlantis
  • Drain The Oceans (& more): There’s a whole series where National Geographic uses technology to explore lost worlds and what’s hidden in the oceans.
  • Giants of the Deep Blue: A 2018 documentary exploring the world of whales and dolphins
  • Titanic 20 Years Later: If you know James Cameron from his work on the 1997 film “Titanic” then you’ll enjoy this documentary. He takes a look at the choices he made in the film and how they measure up to new findings of the real sinking.

So what do you think about the new series, “Secrets of The Whales?” Will you tune in on April 22nd to watch?
