What’s Happening at Walt Disney World?   Here is your update for April 2021!

Disneyland is OPEN!! Avengers Campus opens June 4th, updated to Haunted Mansion and King Arthurs Carousel and more details on the latest Disney Cruise liner. The Disney Wish

 

 

Disneyland Is OPEN!!!

Avengers campus is set to open on June 4th. The highly anticipated addition to Disney California Adventure Park is a fully immersive land inviting you to team up with the Avengers and their allies and live out your superhero dreams

Over a Disneyland, the Haunted Mansion has undergone some ghostly improvements while the park was quiet.  Including A lavish landscape adorning the dearly departed pets outside. While inside, you may notice a new design along the portrait hallway. Including the addition of one of the mansion’s origin portrait known as “April to December. ”

Over at King Arthurs Carousel, Walt Disney Imagineering completed an extensive refurbishment of the original 1955 attraction adding 14k gold leaf accents and vibrant details, and bold colors.   Each steed was hand-painted with more than 30 colors used, each horse slightly different than the others, and done’ miss Snow Whites enchanted wish, and the new attraction poster.

In a rundown of the other news:

Disney and Friends character Breakfast is returning to Aulani Resort starting May 7th, with some adjustments to ensure the health and safety of guests and cast members.  Moana is also returning to Aulani, be sure to check the resort’s website for details.

Tokyo Disneyland announced that its new Toy story-themed hotel will be called “Tokyo Disney Resort Toy Story Hotel,” featuring 595 rooms and 11 floors and will offer guests an experience between Deluxe and value style resorts.

Walt Disney World gave us ten ways for Tweens and families to spring into summer at Walt Disney World:  including the Taste of Epcot international flower and garden festival, Blizzard Beach, Cinderella castle 50th-anniversary makeover, Mickey and Minnie’s runaway railroad, or maybe a character dining experience.

At Animal Kingdom, the Secrets of the Whales sand sculpture was unveiled to celebrate earth month and the premiere of the national geographic special “Secrets of the whales “on Disney plus.   And just in time for earth day, a new baby mandrill was born to first-time mom Hazel; the new infant “Ivy” has been spotted on Kilimanjaro safaris clinging to her mom.

May 4th be with you, and Walt Disney World May best bites including “the Child” Mini Dome cake and millennium falcon chocolate pop.  Millennium falcon soft serve sundae at the Polynesian,

Hollywood scoops is offering a chocolate peanut butter shake, and beaches and cream has a wildberry shake. And that’s scratching the surface.

I other big news, Disney Cruise lines gave us details on their latest ship.. the Disney wish, setting sail next summer 2022.    When the Disney Wish sets sail in summer 2022, you’ll be immersed in Disney’s rich legacy of storytelling brings to life the stories and characters of Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars adventures like never before.

You’ll be immersed in “The Wonderful World of Mickey Mouse” animated shorts aboard the first-ever Disney attraction at sea, AquaMouse. Complete with show scenes, lighting and special effects, and splashtacular surprises, this water ride is sure to delight everyone in the family as they zig, zag, and zoom through 760 feet of winding tubes suspended high above the upper decks.  A toy story district and mickey and friends district will delight the family. At the same time, adults will indulge in the quiet cove, while a whole new world of family entertainment will surround guests in Disney stories in unexpected ways.   Kids ages 3-12 will enter a reimagined oceaners club featuring Marvel Superhero Academy, fairytale hall and the Walt Disney Imagineering lab.    Adults can enjoy the Sat Wars Hyperspace Lunge, a high-end bar styled as a luxurious yacht class spaceship.
