“The Odd Sisters” from the Villains Series – A Disney Nerds Book Club Review
It’s time for this month’s Disney Nerds Book Club Review. This month we’re feeling a little odd. Odd Sisters, that is. Yes, we’re talking about “The Odd Sisters” by Serena Valentino.
So far, we’ve talked about the first 5 books in this awesome series. Now, here we are, 5 books later and we’re finally going to dive into the story of The Odd Sisters. We were introduced to them in the first book and they’ve popped up in every book since. But we were left with questions about who they are.
Personally, I couldn’t help but place at least partial blame on them for the twists and turns our villains took in the pervious 5 installments. So I was intrigued to find out more about these sisters.
Spoiler Alert
The Odd Sisters (Lucinda, Ruby and Martha) seem to have finally been stopped. Their sister, who turns out to be their daughter, Circe takes away their magic and traps them in the land of dreams. Circe seems to be the only good thing The Odd Sisters have done right. The sisters are trapped and Circe is trying to figure out what to do with them and even if she can clean up some of their mess. But like any true villain, they escape. Circe now has to figure out how to stop them and if that means she has to kill her mothers. She has the help of Snow White, who has also made appearances in other volumes of the series. Circe is very protective of Snow White because she thinks The Odd Sisters will do something to her. So Circe has a lot on her plate and it’s all because of The Odd Sisters. In order to figure out what to do, Circe and Snow White dive into The Odd Sister’s past which is how we (the reader) get to learn more about the sisters.
I must say that I enjoyed this book. I wanted to know more about The Odd Sisters and this book did that. It also is a tale of original villains in this world that Serena Valentino created. Don’t get me wrong, I loved the other books too but it’s always fun to read about someone (or in this case, someone’s) new!
If you haven’t read this book or the other books in this series, then you should start soon! This book was just another amazing tale in a wonderful series! I can’t wait to read the next one and continue my journey through the Disney Villains world of Serena Valentino.
