Walt Disney World 25th Anniversary Party (1997)
Melissa Joan Hart and Will Friedle hosted the Walt Disney World 25th Anniversary Party, which aired on February 28, 1997. Highlights include a video segment of Main Street USA’s re-dedication; Special Guest has Drew Carey taking viewers on a behind-the-scenes tour of the parks, including control rooms. Donna Summer performing “Last Dance”; Gloria Estefan performing a medley including “Dr. Beat,” “Conga,” “Rhythm is Gonna Get You,” and “Get On Your Feet”; the Village People performing “YMCA”. Rosie O’Donnell takes us on an early look at the Tower of Terror attraction, including a look at the Disney Imagineers who design the Walt Disney World attractions. Jeff Daniels has a segment on Walt Disney World’s history (and of its Main Street, U.S.A. section in particular), and of the park’s namesake, Walt Disney; and Estefan performing “Remember the Magic.”
