After leading the Kansas City Chiefs to victory at Super Bowl LVII last night, MVP Patrick Mahomes did exactly what he said in the iconic “I’m Going to Disneyland!” commercial; he and his family headed straight to the Disneyland Resort in California to celebrate the big win!
In 2020, Mahomes joined Disney’s Super Bowl tradition when he visited Walt Disney World in Florida after his first Super Bowl win. And today, less than 24 hours after defeating the Philadelphia Eagles, he came to the Happiest Place on Earth with his family for their first visit! And this year, they experienced extra magic as Disneyland Resort celebrates Disney’s 100th anniversary with new experiences, entertainment and more.
First, Mahomes, his wife Brittany, daughter Sterling Skye and son Patrick “Bronze” Lavon Mahomes III, posed for a photo in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland park.
Next, the family took a spin on the new Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway. Boarding a train engineered by Goofy, they explored the wacky and unpredictable cartoon world of Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse with twists and turns as exciting as the star quarterback’s own feats on the field yesterday.
Then Mahomes joined Mickey Mouse and his pals in a celebratory cavalcade, as he waved to enthusiastic fans along the parade route from “it’s a small world” all the way down Main Street, U.S.A.
Mahomes led the Chiefs to a 38-35 win over the Philadelphia Eagles in the biggest game of the year. He threw three touchdown passes — including two in the fourth quarter — to guide his team to the win. It was the second championship in the last four years for Kansas City.
