Games and Puzzles Released by Ravensburger For 2023
Here at The Disney Nerds Podcast, we love Disney board games. We have talked multiple times about some of the Disney board games and puzzles we are individually working on over the years.
That being said, we are excited to announce that Ravensburger (creators of Disney games like Villainous) has released their list of what they have coming out this year and it’s going to be a great year!
Ravensburger is celebrating 140 years and since they are celebrating along with Disney celebrating 100 years, it looks like they are going big with some great products.
Games
There are several board games Ravensburger will release this year. Here are just a few of them:
Disney Lorcana
This is a collectible trading card game that will release starting in August 2023 and will feature more than 200 game cards that will be available in three starter decks, a gift set, bootster packs, and the “Illumineer’s Trove.”
According to the press release:
Disney Lorcana: The First Chapter will feature a line-up of products and accessories featuring all-new, original illustrations of beloved Disney characters — perfect for beginner and seasoned TCG players, Disney fans and collectors alike.
In the United States, Disney Lorcana: The First Chapter will first launch at local game stores on August 18th, supported by a robust organized play program, and at mass retail starting on September 1st. Attendees at Gen Con 2023 will also have an early opportunity to purchase select Disney Lorcana: The First Chapter products.
Disney Around the World
This game will release in August and is described as an “Adventure through the sky and explore the magical world of Disney as you pilot a hot air balloon. Guide your balloon through six charming Lands and collect Stamps for your Passport. Roll a die to see where you’ll move. Sunshine is the best weather for flying… but watch out for the wind and clouds! Be the first to collect four Stamps from four different Lands to win.”
Disney Villains: The Card Game
This game is available now at Barnes & Noble. The objective is to “Build the strongest team of Villains and Henchmen, matching the color or number on the cards in your stack. Cast curses, meddle in your opponents’ plans, and unleash your sinister might with your Villain’s special cards. Watch out for Heroes who will try to sabotage your team. Earn the most points to win!”
Marvel Villainous: Twisted Ambitions
This expansion pack for Marvel Villianous will release later this year with Titania, Doctor Octopus, and Kang The Conquerer as the new villains to play. Be on the look out for a special version exclusive to Target!
