Sergio, the Italian Mime, is back at Epcot’s World Showcase, Sergio along with most other live Epcot Entertainment offerings, fell victim to the Walt Disney World COVID-19 shut down in March of 2020. While Sergio wasn’t part of the July 2020 reopening, we are happy to report that Sergio is Back and performing multiple shows at Epcot’s Italy Pavilion; check the My Disney Experience App for showtimes. From Morocco to Canada and America, all-new dishes are artfully created and presented features on every menu. Food Studios newcomers are Deco Delights (Dulce Chocolate Mousse) and The Craftsman’s Courtyard (P.E.I. mussels roasted on cast iron). Dazzling art takes center stage at the festival. Must-see masterpieces by more than 100 Disney and visiting artists will be found throughout EPCOT. Catch a glimpse of artists at work with a peek inside the Disney Artist Gallery or the WonderGround Gallery. At ground level, works of chalk artists will be on display along the bridge to Showcase Plaza. The Showcase Plaza stage comes alive with musical acts, a spectacle of thrilling strength with Art Defying Gravity and Visual Art in Performance, led by an artist who paints favorite Disney Characters in a matter of minutes.

Across World Showcase, guests can step into some of the most iconic artwork from around the world at unique Artful Photo Ops For an added charge, Figment’s Brush with the Masters invites guests on a scavenger hunt around World Showcase. The lovable purple dragon hides in famous works of art. Return your completed map of Figment sightings to redeem an artful surprise!

Walt Disney World Inside-Out 25th Anniversary Special (1996) Sam’s Disney Diary
Walt Disney World Inside Out was a monthly, later weekly, television show that aired on The Disney Channel from 1994 to 1997. The show primarily featured attractions and what’s new at Walt Disney World in Orlando. Comedian Scott Herriott initially hosted the show, but in 1995 JD Roth and Brianne Leary took over as co-hosts and George Foreman. This Hour-long special served as the official kickoff for the Walt Disney World 25th Anniversary, a 15 month-long celebration at Walt Disney World Resort that included: The Opening of the Walt Disney World Boardwalk Resort, Coronado Springs (Which actually opened in 1997), The Disney Institute, A significant expansion to Downtown Disney including the Rainforest Café, and expanded World of Disney and the construction of Disney’s West Side including the AMC Theater, house of Blues, Wolfgang Puck’s Café, Bongos, Virgin Records Megastore and Cirque De Solei. Disney Cruise lines were building their first two ships. Disney’s Wide World of Sports opened in 1997 along with Animal Kingdom. New shows and Attractions included: Test Track, Mickey’s Toon Town, The Hunchback of Notre Dame Musical Adventure at MGM Studios, at Epcot Illuminations 25 with the “Circle of Life” sky show finale. And at the Magic Kingdom, the Remember the Magic Parade and the icing on the cake… Well, the Cinderella castle cake!
