Exploring Wilderness Lodge

During a recent trip we did some exploring and found 2 destinations that I had never experienced over at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge.

The first was the Carolwood Train room over at the Boulder Ridge section of the resort property. I had heard about this room but never took the time to head over and check it out. We walked into the lobby of the DVC resort and then off the the right. This area is a comfortable sitting area with a fire place. It is a nice quiet place to relax (similar areas are offered at most DVC resorts). Around the room you can see how Walt Disney’s love of trains is captured through models and pictures. It is a quick walk around but I recommend taking a seat for a few to enjoy the peacefulness.

While we were there we also took a walk over to Geyser Point Bar and Grill for a snack and a beverage. What a great place to hang out. The bar is great and the seating areas are perfect for groups to socialize and enjoy a drink together. The bar sits right on the water front where you can enjoy the boats going by or come later in the evening and get a front row seat to the Electrical Water Pageant.

Bottomline, make Wilderness Lodge a place to stop during your next Disney trip. You won’t regret it.
