Reservations Now Open for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Experiences at Disney’s Hollywood Studios
The time is almost here to visit Black Spire Outpost, or as most know it, Galax’s Edge. Cast member and Passholder previews have been going on for the last week. Now it seems like one last piece has been released for opening day, Reservations are available!
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opens August 29th and if you are planning a trip in the next 180 days, jump on your My Disney Experience and get those reservations! You can now make reservations to build a lightsaber, build a droid, or grab a drink at Oga’s Cantina!
Here are some more details about each experience:
Craft your own Lightsaber at Savi’s Workshop
Every Jedi goes through the process of constructing a lightsaber. Now you can follow in their path and make one for yourself! Inside Savi’s Workshop, you’ll feel the force as you can customize your own lightsaber with various options like hilts, accessories, and the all-important kyber crystal. What color crystal will call to you?
For this experience, Disney has stated there will be limited walk-up availability so reservations are highly recommended. A credit card deposit of $199 is required for each reservation, this is the base price for creating your lightsaber. Cancellations can be made up to the day before without penalty. Any no shows will be charged the full price of this experience. You will also be allowed to bring one guest to observe this experience.
Build your own Droid inside the Droid Depot
Who has wanted a droid of their very own? A loyal companion like a droid is a must-have to make it through the Star Wars galaxy. Now you will be able to build and customize your very own droid at the Droid Depot! You will be able to choose between an R-series or a BB-series as you pick their pieces and parts off a conveyor belt. Which one will you choose?
This experience will also have limited walk availability so Disney highly recommends reservations. Cancellations can be made up to the day before without penalty. Any no shows will be charged the full price of this experience. You will also be allowed to bring one guest to observe this experience. Disney doesn’t list a deposit required for this experience but we have learned that droids start at $99.
Grab a Drink over at Oga’s Cantina
After exploring all that Black Spire Outpost has to offer, you’re going to need a refreshment or two (and a bite to eat). Oga’s Cantina is the notorious watering hole where smugglers, bounty hunters, and weary travelers gather. This is where you want to be! Oga’s Cantina will follow the 180-day reservation process currently offered for restaurants and experiences requiring reservations. While there will be limited walk-up availability, reservations are highly recommended. And like other experiences, cancellations can be made up to the day before without penalty; however, any no-shows will be charged.
