Disney Themed Workouts At Home: PART 2!

Greetings Disney Nerds!

Here we are, summertime and while a lot of things are starting to reopen, I know a lot of us are still in areas that are partially shut down. This means we’re all trying to still find things to do at home. I know for me, one of those things is finding a good workout. In April, I posted some great online options to stay active while at home but I found more I just had to share!

This time I was looking for something with some great Disney music. I usually workout in the mornings and sometimes you need a little extra motivation to get your sweat on! Like any Disney Nerd, I love Disney music (Dreamfinder Radio is always playing during the day while I’m working!) so hearing some Disney music while working out seemed like great motivation to actually work out! So off to YouTube I went and here are my recommendations.

My Top Picks

That Disney Girl & EMKFit

On my search, the ones I found that are my favorite are from That Disney Girl. She teamed up with Emily from EMKFit and they have two fun workout videos. They both feature all Disney music and EMKFit’s HIIT-HOP workout routines. What is HIIT-HOP you ask? According to the video description, HITT-HOP uses a Tabata format and instead of doing traditional HIIT exercises. This form of dance fitness is something Emily from EMKFit created and I love it! It’s fun dance moves and great cardio so it’s fun. I also like that during the video Emily even says you don’t have to be perfect, just keep moving and have fun! I’ve done both of these videos a couple of times and will keep them in my workout rotation (including some other videos by EMKFit!)

Up to the BEat Fit

My second favorite is one by Up to the BEat Fit. This video is by fitness trainer Gina B and I love the moves in this video! It was a full workout and she had a different technique but still put fun dance and workout moves together. The only flaw in this video is she snuck one non-Disney song in but that’s ok, it was still a great workout. I know I’ll watch it again and again for another good workout option!

305 Fitness

My third choice is from 305 Fitness. They have a few Disney themed workouts and they’re all targeted for the whole family. These workouts were high energy and so much fun! These are 40 minutes or more which are longer than some of the other videos so they’re great if want a longer workout or even more intense. The instructor Sadie also keeps you motivated the whole time. I think this video was recorded from a live video so she does talk to viewers which is great to see a live option. I subscribed in case they go live again. These video are my list if I need a little extra cardio for the day.

My next choices are by no means my favorite but they’re worth mentioning.

Kyra Pro

Kyra Pro has several great dance workout videos featuring Disney music so it’s a great variety of options like a Princess Edition workout or High School Musical. My only complaint is that she doesn’t talk during the workout. She just goes through the whole workout with no instruction to her viewers. This makes it hard to know what moves to do until you’ve watched her do it. I still recommend her because they’re good workout but I would watch them all the way through at least once before doing the workout, so you know what you’ll be doing.

Antonia Natascha

There’s also a great Zumba stretching video by Antonia Natascha. She uses Moana’s “How Far I’ll Go” and is recording at a beautiful beach location. It’s a perfect cooldown video or if you’re on a rest day but still want to do some movement workout. Just like the other video, she doesn’t talk so there’s no instruction which makes it hard to know what moves she’s going to do next but it’s still worth watching for a low key workout.

So there you have it, some great online workout routines I found featuring some great Disney music! There are a whole lot of other great online Disney workout routines that I found as well but the majority of them seemed to have the same issues as Kyra Pro’s video, no talking or instruction. Personally, I prefer that which is why I love the videos from That Disney Girl & EMKFit as well as the video from Up to the BEat Fit & 305 Fitness. I liked the personality of the instructors (especially EMKFit) and felt like I got more out of those workouts. If you don’t have a preference, then be sure to try these and others out and let me know what your favorites are! I’d love to hear about them!

Until next time, enjoy the workouts!
