Disney Themed Workouts At Home!

Greetings Disney Nerds!

Are you looking for ways to get a workout in while staying at home? Well, you’re in luck because I found some great options with a Disney twist of course!

Ever tried Zumba? If you’ve never heard of Zumba, it is a fitness program that combines Latin and international music with dance moves. Zumba classes incorporate interval training so it’s great cardio! The website, Elite Daily, put together 10 Zumba class videos that use Disney music! Each video is about 2 to 3 minutes long so they’re great small workouts and something anyone could try! My favorite is the routine to “Carry The Banner” from Newsies! Check out the article here!

Now if you’re looking for workouts geared more towards the kids then Disney Family has you covered! Disney Family did some family-friendly workouts inspired by classic Disney films! This is perfect if you’re looking for something the whole family can do if you’re looking for something the kids can do. Check out those workouts here!

If you rather watch the movies while you work out then we found something for you! Oh My Disney put together an Ultimate Disney Movie Workout Guide. They’ve created routines based on what’s going on in some of your favorite movies. For example, if you’re watching “Hercules” and Hades’ hair turns from blue to red then you do 10 jumping jacks! These workout guides are for Hercules, Tangled, The Lion King, The Little Mermaid, and Wreck-It Ralph. Take a look at them here!

Now if putting in some time on the treadmill is more your speed, we’ve got something for you too. Grab your tablet or phone (something that you and rest on the treadmill in front of you), head over to YouTube and check out RunTheImpossible. This twosome loves to run! They have videos from all kinds of races they’ve done including RunDisney races. But we’re heading over to their page for their treadmill series. On their Treadmill Series videos, you can walk through the parks, Art of Animation, and even the Castaway Cay 5k (and some other places) while you’re on the treadmill. So why not load up one of the videos and pretend you’re walking or running through the parks while you’re working out! Check them out here!

We know it’s hard right now to get a workout with everything going on so hopefully, this helps! Do you have a Disney themed workout you do? Did we mention it? If not, let us know what we might have missed! Email Morgan at Morgan@thedisneynerdspodcast.com

Enjoy your next workout, Disney style!
