Disney+ Streaming Service is Coming!

Disney+ Streaming Service

Are you ready to have access to all your favorite Disney movies at your fingertips? More information about Disney+ was released today during The Walt Disney Co.’s Annual Shareholder Meeting.

Disney+ will be an online streaming service for movies. This will be very similar to Netflix, Hulu, etc. With a few easy clicks, you can watch old classics or recently released to DVD.

Bob Iger referred to Disney+ as the “biggest priority” of 2019. With Disney now owning Marvel and Star Wars, this opens a whole world of streaming. We know that Disney decided against renewing their deal with Netflix. We also know Disney’s acquisition of 21st Century Fox, which now means they will control Hulu.

THIS IS A BIG DEAL!

Not only will we get Star Wars and Marvel movies, but all your Disney favorites will also be easily accessible as well! From Snow White to Honey I Shrunk the Kids, the endless hours of movies will be available for instant online streaming. Iger said Disney+ will eventually have the entire motion picture library on the service. Currently, no price point is released yet, it is said to be cheaper than Netflix. Iger projects it to be completed by the end of 2019.

Are you excited for this change? Will your DVD’s be collecting dust while you take advantage of this new service?

Stay tuned for more information regarding the launch date for Disney+.

Can’t wait for this. When will we see costs? Also, there is the whole original Star Wars series that will be on Disney + The Mandalorian or something like that.

I’m assuming it will be around $10 to $15 a month. I do know it’s a monthly payment. Just no news yet on how much or when they plan on announcing it. I also wonder since the took The Punisher off of Netflix, will they pick it back up on Disney+? Marvel has many shows, it would be awesome if Disney continued them.

I’m unsure when they will release cost information. I know originally when they released a statement back in August of last year about Disney+, that they have not yet decided. Looks like they still are unsure. I can see that they want to have it cost less than Netflix. With it being such a large amount of movies, I would guess around $10 to $15 a month. Seeing that they took The Punisher off of Netflix, I wonder if Disney will bring Marvel shows back not just the movies.
