Regal Eagle Smokehouse Review

This past weekend we had the opportunity to experience the NEW Regal Eagle Smokehouse: Craft Drafts and Barbecue restaurant at the American Adventure Pavilion at Epcot. We thought it was an amazing addition to the many offerings around the World Showcase Lagoon.

Food

The restaurant offers 5 different types of meat with BBQ sauces representing 4 different parts of the United States. Options include sausage, brisket, ribs, pulled pork, and chicken. We recommend getting the American Platter (3 meats, 1 side, and Garlic Toast) to enjoy multiple options.

Sauce

The sauce option are available at one of three different stations throughout the restaurant. They include Vinegar League (NC), Sweet Mustard Sauce (SC), Smokehouse Sauce (Memphis), and Spicy Mop Sauce (TX).

Decor

There doesn’t seem to be much change to the inside of the location formally known as the Liberty Inn other than the decor. We love the subtle tie to the Muppets as you walk around.

It’s the exterior that has us loving this location.

Outside there is a great walk up marquee and smoker. And a fantastic outdoor bar. A full bar with craft brews and cider on tap as well as specialty cocktails and wine. Don’t be fooled by the menu, these bartenders have a full bar behind them and are prepared to mix up a cocktail of your choosing.

I went with a signature drink, the Moonshine Sour and it was phenomenal.

Opinions

Favorites include the brisket, pulled pork, the onion rings, the housemade pickles, and burnt end baked beans. The sweet mustard sauce was a great combination with the onion rings. We were very excited for the chicken and the ribs but they were dry and fell a little short of expectations. Hopefully, that gets better as the restaurant works through their opening month jitters.

We hope that you check this place out on your next visit to Epcot. You will not be disappointed.

Thank you for reading and have a magical day.
